Revaleka

Revaleka's work has evolved significantly since he first decided to focus and work with the medium of oil paint in 2020. Revaleka's practice generally re-exploits the existence of fundamental oil painting techniques in the contemporary era to achieve a new range of possibilities. at the level of relevance and resistance, it is proven that Revaleka is able to combine these principles. Although the visuals in his work have now drifted away from his initial approach, which was heavily influenced by exposure to canonical works since 2016. However, these influences are still inherent in his works with his developmentally minded approach that is abstract, complex and heavily laden with narrative.

Growing up in an environment saturated with exposure to nostalgic content, he engages with mediocre ideas packaged with theatrically domestic narrative concepts. As in the album “Memento” (Mid 2021) he evoked the instrospective feelings of the audience through collective memory to involve the interpretation of the audience warmly welcomed by the universe with his magnum opus “Make A Wish II” (Mid 2022) which then encouraged him to further build the concept of nostalgia in presenting the next albums. At the intersection of his journey “Bulao Period” (Early 2022) on the appropriation of Picasso's Blue Period shows external influences and tranquility that have an impact on the stability of his creative process. Thus, he recalibrated his creative process with the presentation of “Cropped Chronicles” (End 2022), the third album that made him return to the path of conceptual development (Nostalgia) that he had built through his lateral thinking.

Towards his fourth album “Silhoutte” which he developed in Early 2023, which has been successfully held under the title “Past Future Tense” with STE M Projects, Srisasanti Syndicate in Yogyakarta. In 2024, he developed a linear transition of his creative process by presenting his fifth new album “Overexposed” (2024) which exploits the potential possibilities of the strongest elements in his work that are exaggerated. While finishing his fifth album, Revaleka with his visionary capability is also preparing his sixth and even seventh albums projected for the coming years.
